Is a solution that can be used to actively track the movement of objects or people by identifying tags attached to assets, this solution can record the location and the usage of the assets.

Asset tags are attached to objects that need to be tracked and periodically transmit identification messages. Asset Locators that are strategically placed at different locations pick up these signals and transmit to a central application. The application stores/displays the location of the asset. The database can interface with many of the existing Inventory applications like Hp’ Peregrine, etc.,

Theory of Operation :

Assets are tagged with the Asset tags. These tags can also carry the barcode or a unique tag number. Data programmed (embedded) in the tags are periodically transmitted by these tags.

TarangMesh networks can be setup in rooms, labs, warehouses, and other areas that need coverage. This network will consist of network Enabled Locators placed strategically. The Locators ID is essentially a proxy for a location. An application running on the server can be programmed with the Network Enabled Locators and its placement data. The messages contain the router ID and the tag information. Using the messages from different Locators, the application can show where an asset may be located by matching the data arrived along with installed Network Enabled Locators / Locators data.

It is possible that multiple Locators pick up the tag information sent by the Asset Tags. In such a scenario, multiple messages will arrive at the server, with different location IDs. Our intelligent software tool provided will use an internal algorithm and provide the server enough information to accurately locate the asset.
