In TarangMesh™, each node in
the network acts as an router, when it is a part of a network. It allows for
data to be transmitted around broken or blocked paths by “hopping” from node to
node until the destination is reached. The devices are connected to one other device and can also be mobile. The routers apart from the routing functionality can also be serving one other device connected to its interface. Mesh Networks are characterized by the following:

Self Forming : The network gets formed as the devices gets associated with the existing devices on the network. Regular association broadcasts from the Routers in the network are received / accepted by the new nodes to form and extend a network.
Self Healing :
The network can still operate when one node breaks down or a connection goes bad. The Routers get automatically associated with another available router to establish the network. As a result, the network is typically very reliable, as there is often more than one path between a source and a destination in the network. The schematic above illustrates a sample mesh network.
