Asset Tags: Intelligent devices with a radio module, running on batteries are packaged in a plastic enclosure. These devices can be programmed with the tag information (details of the tag to be provided by Customers using a programmer). These devices are programmed to wake up at periodic intervals, transmit the tag data and return to sleep. These devices can only transmit data and are not permitted to receive data The transmit interval can be programmed.

Locators are wireless units, running on AC power. They relay location messages that are picked up from tags to the Network Enabled Locator over the TarangMesh™ network. They append their ID to the received data before relaying it further. Router determines the location identification of the asset.

Locator Features :
- Quick deployment and redeployment on company intranet
These devices are the heart of the network, all Locators in a Room/Lab are associated to it. The Network Enabled Locators receives the data sent by the Locators, and forwards the message to a pre-defined IP port over Ethernet.

- Located to provide coverage within labs, office space, entry/exit points, security, etc., as desired.
